Welcome to WLSA website,Women and Law in Southern Africa Research and Educational is an action-oriented research organization founded in 1998.
The main objective of WLSA is to conduct research that supports action to improve the socio-legal position of women. WLSA has offices in seven countries of Southern Africa: Malawi, Botswana, Lesotho, Mozambique, Swaziland, Zambia and Zimbabwe, with a regional office in Lusaka, Zambia. |

Objectives
The development objective of WLSA is to improve the legal status of women in Southern Africa. This is done through the following activities:-
 Developing the research skills of women's law researchers in the network countries;
Conducting research on gender issues in Southern Africa, particularly those related to legal rights
Providing information on gender and the law and influencing policy and law reform in each country;
