NETWORKING

WLSA Action Research and expertise is made available to other organizations and to the public through networking. At country level each national office has strong networks with local NGOs and Human Rights Organizations as well as other stakeholders. At regional level WLSA has worked with the Regional Advisory Committee of the SADC Minister for Gender and Women’s Affairs and the SADC Gender Unit. WLSA is able to input policy and legal issues that came before the SADC Ministers of Gender and Women’s Affairs also be part of the Sub regional agenda on gender issues and activities.

WLSA has also worked with the Committee of experts on Women and Development for the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA) and the Gender Advisory Team to the Secretary General of the SADC Parliamentary Forum.

WLSA has also had observer status with the African Commission on Human and People’s Rights (ACHPR) of the Africa Union and works with the Gender Round Table Coordinated by SADC Gender Unit and SARDC WIDSAA.
